When it comes to that time of the month, comfort, nourishment, and a bit of extra self-care can make all the difference. As someone who lives with endometriosis and experiences painful cysts around ovulation, I know firsthand that some months are tougher than others. But over time, I’ve learned how to support my body naturally—through gentle movement, stress management, and a more mindful approach to what I consume.
Today, I’m sharing my personal period essentials—the items I buy every month to help ease symptoms, support my hormonal health, and feel a little more in control. If you’re on your own hormonal health journey, just know that you’re not alone. These products have made a huge difference for me, and I hope they can do the same for you.

🥜 1. Cashews
Cashews are my go-to snack for brain health and managing cravings. They offer a natural energy boost thanks to healthy fats and magnesium, which is especially helpful when you're feeling a bit foggy or low-energy during your cycle.

🍫 2. Dark Chocolate
Not just a sweet treat—dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants and supports hormonal balance. It also helps stabilize blood sugar levels and provides a natural pick-me-up when I’m feeling a little sluggish or emotional.

💧 3. Aquaphor Balm Stick
Dry skin and chapped lips always seem to make an appearance around my cycle. This balm stick is my favorite multitasker—it’s hydrating, healing, and a little goes a long way. I keep it in my bag at all times!

🍬 4. Ginger Mints
These are a must for nausea relief. Ginger helps calm the stomach, lower inflammation, and even regulate blood sugar. I pop one after meals or whenever I’m feeling off.

♨️ 5. Heating Patches (Rael Brand)
These stick-on heating pads are lifesavers for cramps. I especially love the ones from Rael because they’re discreet and natural. Bonus: they work great for general aches and pains, too.

✨ 6. Acne Patches
Hormonal breakouts? Same. These acne patches help protect blemishes, reduce inflammation, and speed up healing. I throw one on overnight and wake up with noticeably calmer skin.

🌿 7. Non-Toxic Pads (Honey Pot Brand)
The Honey Pot’s natural pads are a game-changer. They come in various sizes, are infused with essential oils, and contain no harmful chemicals—perfect for sensitive skin and peace of mind.

🍵 8. Ginger Tea
I end most evenings with a warm cup of ginger tea. It eases nausea, supports digestion, and helps lower inflammation—plus it’s soothing, especially when paired with a cozy blanket and a heating pad.
Final Thoughts
Managing your period doesn’t have to feel like a battle. With a few intentional choices and supportive products, you can create a routine that nourishes your body and brings comfort during your cycle. If you’re dealing with hormonal imbalances, painful periods, or just want to feel better each month, I hope this list offers some relief and inspiration.
Remember: You’re not alone, and small changes really do add up.
